Sushi meetup: PHOENIX DRAGON (Providence), Thu, May 8, 7:00pm

I am terribly sorry for the very late choice of a venue this month, but it is due entirely to my personal circumstances. A close friend of mine will be in the hospital -- she's scheduled to give birth by caesarian section in the morning -- and therefore I needed to pick a location as close as possible to the Rhode Island Hospital/Women and Infants Hospital campus, as I'll probably be coming directly from there. I hope the group does not mind this rather rare indulgence on my part.

Some of you may remember our first trip to the Phoenix Dragon a few months ago, especially because of the wonderfully original hand-carved animals the sushi chef fashions from carrots. The food was excellent as well! It's very easy to find, only a minute off I-95 and right next to the historic Columbus Theater, with ample free parking both in the lot and along Broadway.

Directions:

From the north: Take I-95 southbound to Exit 21, then at the _2nd_ light turn _right_ onto Broadway. Continue about one quarter-mile to the 3rd light and turn left onto Battey St, then immediately turn right into the parking lot.

From the south: Take I-95 northbound to Exit 21, then at the _1st_ light turn _left_ onto Broadway. Continue about one quarter-mile to the 3rd light and turn left onto Battey St, then immediately turn right into the parking lot.
